Well-being centres

Women from marginalized backgrounds often have to bear the brunt of oppression, domestic abuse & lack of employment opportunities within the community. For the purpose of alleviating them from such challenges & to help them achieve holistic wellbeing, Pedal On built a Well-being & Skill Development Centre in collaboration with Singer India Limited called “Ek Nayi Pehchaan” at Mehram Nagar, New Delhi.

This centre at Mehram Nagar is equipped with 12 sewing machines and monthly empowerment and well-being programmes for the women to achieve financial freedom and essential skill-set to achieve better opportunities in future. Through this initiative, we aspire to build a strong community of women entrepreneurs.

Pink Toilets

Pink Toilets is an initiative conceptualized by the National Commission of Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) in association with Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and PVR NEST, implemented on ground by our parent company SecondAct. It is a concept of women-exclusive, free-to-use safe sanitation centres which are operated for increasing people’s consciousness towards WASH and making safe sanitation equitable to the marginalized communities.

We created “ human centre design” which gave access to safe sanitation for more than 350,000+ last year and helped in upskilling 20+ women staff members across Delhi for them to achieve financial independence and dignity-rich life, making them stakeholders in this initiative.
