Prior to 2017, Delhi/NCR had significant gaps in sanitary standards which included unhygienic public toilets, lack of women-only toilet facilities and major threat to women safety & privacy in public toilets.

As a rebuttal, National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) in association with Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and PVR NEST conceptualized, Pink toilets which was implemented on-ground by our parent company – SecondAct.

It’s a concept of women-exclusive, free-to-use, sanitation centres operated for women, by women, committed to enhance people’s consciousness towards WASH, women’s sanitary needs and making access to safe sanitation equitable to underprivileged communities.
